Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.88% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

DLF(up 1.94 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.44 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.0 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.8 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.8 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.32 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.82 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.88 per cent at 450.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 140.7 points at 17070.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 416.61 points at 57274.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Tata Steel, Zomato Ltd., PNB and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Beardsell Ltd, Lotus Eye Hosp, SBI Life, Schaeffler India and Akshar Spintex hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IMP Powers Ltd, Rollatainers Ltd, Karda Const, Bajaj Hindusthan Su and Sanghi Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
