Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.84% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 1.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 1.77 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.72 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.58 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.19 per cent) and DLF(down 0.75 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.84 per cent at 430.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 81.15 points at 17159.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 270.11 points at 57721.0.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of JP Power, Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, Shree Ren Sug and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Zenith Exports, Magnum Ventures, Everest Ind, Dev Information Tech and Sakar Healthcare hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akshar Spintex, Tips Films Ltd., SriHavishaHosp, Reliance Comm and Debock Sales & Mktg hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
