Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Axita Cotton, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Jamna Auto, Priti International and Global Education, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:10AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 79.9 points to 15770.3 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Latteys Industries, Krishna Defence and Allied Industries Ltd., Muthoot Finance, HEC Infra Projects and Tembo Global Indust, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 10 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 40 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Grasim Inds., RIL, Shree Cements, UltraTech Cem. and Tata Motors were among top gainers, while HDFC Life, IndusInd Bank, HUL, Cipla and Titan Company traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 261.85 points down at 52915.60 at 11:10AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Trading, Textiles, Industrial Equipment and Paper sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Miscellaneous and Media & Entertainment sectors.
