Stock market update: BSE SmallCap index dips over 3%; Indiabulls Housing Fin nosedives 13%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading lower at 02:17PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (down 13.05 per cent), Vikas Wsp (down 9.96 per cent), Suven Life Sciences (down 9.74 per cent), Hikal (down 9.41 per cent) and ITD Cementation India (down 8.94 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Sasken Technologies (up 8.45 per cent), IIFL Securities (up 7.62 per cent), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 5.31 per cent), Salasar (up 5.0 per cent) and Karda Construction (up 4.97 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 3.32 per cent down at 14792.77 around 02:17PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 232.35 points at 11272.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 718.83 points at 38126.99.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 4 were trading in the green, while 46 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank Ltd., SBI and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Capri Global, Infosys, Apollo Hospital, MindTree and HCL Tech hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Mehai Technololgy Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Virgo Global Ltd., Mukat Pipes Ltd., Unistar Multimedia Ltd. and SC Agrotech Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
