NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Shree Securities(up 57.1%), Containe Technologies Ltd.(up 54.0%) and TIL Ltd(up 16.24%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 427.15 points up at 56837.11, while the 50-share index, NSE was 113.85 points up at 16931.95.
In the Nifty50 index, 31 stocks traded in the green, while 19 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Shree Securities, Containe Technologies Ltd., Insecticide Ind, Captain Technocast and Synthiko Foils hit their fresh 52-week high, while Marsons Ltd, DRC Systems India Ltd., Shubham Polyspin, Tilak Ventures and GKP Printing & Pack touched their new 52-week low during the session.
