KIOCL(up 4.24%), Ashapura Minechem(up 3.31%), Pokarna(up 3.08%), 20 Microns(up 3.01%), Aro Granite Industries(up 2.24%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.33%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.00%) and NMDC Ltd(up 0.61%) stood among the top gainers.
Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.05%), MOIL(down 0.72%) and Coal India(down 0.44%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 13.2 points up at 17662.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 49.49 points at 59549.9.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.54%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.87%), State Bank of India(up 2.84%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.8%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.62%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.43%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.27%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.26%), Eicher Motors(up 2.25%) and ITC(up 2.19%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 2.25%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.18%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.04%), Britannia Industries(down 2.02%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.64%), Cipla(down 1.59%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.55%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.52%), Asian Paints(down 1.46%) and SBI Life(down 1.13%) closed in the red.
