Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.49% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Godrej Properties(up 0.46 per cent), Sunteck Realty(up 0.37 per cent), DLF(up 0.07 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 2.29 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 2.19 per cent), SOBHA(down 1.86 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.86 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.49 per cent at 425.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 122.3 points at 18149.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 464.46 points at 61086.23.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, IDFC First Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Banka Bioloo, Chembond Chem, Shreeoswal Seeds, Lloyds Steels and Radhika Jeweltech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baid Leasing, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Ballarpur Inds., Hind Nat Glass and Kiri Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
