Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with over 8,900 hotels across over 95 countries, announced the appointment of three development roles in Eurasia on Tuesday. The company said the new hires are part of the company’s 'strategic' plan to place resources closer to the business and spearhead growth across the region.

The company has appointed Arpit Pant as the new development director for Eurasia. With 20 years of experience working in hotels, residences and vacation rentals in multiple markets across South Asia and the Middle East, Pant has worked in several roles in asset management, feasibility, sales, marketing and finance.

Nikhil Sasidharan has joined Wyndham as the development manager for Eurasia, focusing on opportunities in the leisure segment in sought-after destinations in South India, such as Goa, Kerala and others. He previously worked as a general manager in Lemon Tree Hotels, heading up operations and revenue management for hotels in Goa, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Jaipur.

Wyndham has appointed Siddharth Kochhar as the development manager for Eurasia from hospitality company Bloomrooms. The company said Kochhar brings local knowledge and expertise in new business opportunities across India's mid-market sector.

The move follows the recent promotion of Govind Mundra to the position of head of development, Eurasia, concentrating on exploring hotel conversion opportunities across the Indian sub-continent.

Panos Loupasis, vice president of development for Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are excited to expand our development capabilities with these important roles, which perfectly complement our existing talented teams. Their experience and focus will play a key role in accelerating our ambitious development goals for the region.”
