Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: InterGlobe(Rs. 4699.91 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1090.71 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1035.10 crore), Shree Cements(Rs. 895.44 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 859.93 crore), RIL(Rs. 841.42 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 832.77 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 818.78 crore), Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 785.86 crore) and Concor(Rs. 762.37 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 174.35 points up at 17798.75, while BSE Sensex rose 659.31 points to 59688.22.

In the Nifty index, Shree Cements Ltd.(up 5.51 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.98 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 3.22 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.20 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.84 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.00 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
