Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Tata Steel(Rs. 150.11 crore), IndusInd Bank(Rs. 110.35 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 105.47 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 63.39 crore), HDFC(Rs. 60.44 crore), RIL(Rs. 44.78 crore), Apollo Hospital(Rs. 44.36 crore), Asian Paints(Rs. 39.87 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 39.14 crore) and Tata Motors(Rs. 34.17 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 92.15 points up at 18197.45, while BSE Sensex rose 327.05 points to 61167.79.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 5.86 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.89 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.77 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
