Sensex tanks! Stocks that fell 5% or more

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 500.05 points down at 40022.05 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of GE Power India (down 12.07 per cent) , Reliable Ventures (down 9.98 per cent) , Sir Shadilal Enterprises (down 9.93 per cent) , Kriti Nutrients (down 9.90 per cent) , Bonlon Industries (down 9.85 per cent) , Ujaas Energy (down 9.82 per cent) , U Y Fincorp (down 9.63 per cent) , Viji Finance (down 9.09 per cent) , Utique Enterprises (down 8.42 per cent) and Polylink Polymers (down 8.37 per cent) were among the top losers.

In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks were in the green, while 39 stocks were in the red. The Nifty index was trading 129.15 points down at 11,760.25.

On the NSE, KPR Mill, Adani Green Energy, APL Apollo Tube, Supreme Industries, Ipca Labs and Asian Paints touched their fresh 52-week high today.
