    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 20 points, or 0.12 per cent lower at 16,660.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Thursday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care: The FMCG firm reported a 29.2 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 48.98 crore for the quarter ended June 2021. The company, which follows the July-June financial year, had posted a net profit of Rs 69.21 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

    Bharti Airtel: The telecom operator said its board will meet on August 29 to consider various capital raising options, including equity and debt. The fundraising options entail equity or equity-linked or debt instruments, the company said in a regulatory filing but did not divulge into the quantum of capital raising under consideration.

    Infosys: The IT services major said it will set up a new digital development center at its largest Canadian office in Mississauga, a move that will help in creating 500 high-quality jobs in the Toronto region over the next three years.

    JSW Steel: The steel maker said its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary JSW Steel USA Ohio is considering a proposal to raise long-term funds from the municipal bond market in the US. The company shall provide a guarantee on behalf of JSW Steel Ohio, which will be utilized to secure the repayment of the bonds.

    Cipla: The pharma major and Bengaluru based biopharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) Kemwell Biopharma Private Limited, entered into a joint venture agreement to develop, manufacture and commercialize biosimilars for global markets.

    Auto Stocks: The government is open to the idea of tweaking tax rates on automobiles to increase their affordability, a top official said. The stance comes amid a prolonged slowdown that has dragged volumes lower across segments.

    Bank of India: The state-owned lender approved the launch of QIP, aimed at raising Rs 3,000 crore equity capital to fund business growth and meet regulatory compliance. It has set the floor price for the qualified institutional placement (QIP) at Rs 66.19 per equity share.

    Ujjivan Small Finance Bank: The private lender announced the appointment of Carol Furtado as an 'officer on special duty' till September 30, and said she will take charge as the interim CEO from October.

    Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers: The specialty chemical player will get term loans of Rs 280 crore from three banks for upgrading its ammonia plant. The company informed it has achieved the financial closure for the improvement of its ammonia plant with total investment of Rs 395 crore.

    Dishman Carbogen Amcis: The drug firm said its Switzerland-based arm, Carbogen Amcis AG, has entered into a co-investment agreement of CHF 4 million (around Rs 32 crore) with one of its key European customers.

    Sugar Stocks: Sugar industry body ISMA said the Rs 5 per quintal hike in the fair and remunerative price of sugarcane will not overburden millers, but demanded an increase in the minimum selling price of sugar to Rs 34.5-35 per kg from the current Rs 31 per kg to boost the liquidity of the millers.
