Here is a look at some of the biggest movers and shakers of Thursday's session:

    TOP GAINERS OF THE DAY

ESAB India: The industrial goods company was much in demand on the back of strong technical factors as its volume jumped multiple times than the average. The stock soared 16 per cent to Rs 2,254.80.

Swan Energy: The diversified company rallied 12 per cent to Rs 146.85 as the government said it is looking to boost its liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports from next year. It will start a floating terminal, raising the country's capacity to ship in the super chilled fuel by 12 per cent to 47.5 million tonnes per annum.

Datamatics Global Services: The IT software counter hit an upper circuit of 10 per cent to Rs 303.40 amid high demand in technology stocks, which has underperformed recently. The volumes rose rapidly compared to the daily average.

Sterling and Wilson Solar: The renewable energy player's wholly owned subsidiary has increased stake in SWME Solar, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The scrip settled 10 per cent higher at Rs 311.20.

CreditAccess Grameen: The microfinance player jumped 9 per cent to Rs 654 ahead of its analysts/investor meet. The company will host a call with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund after the market hours.

    TOP LOSERS OF THE DAY

Inox Winds: The renewable energy player tanked 9 per cent to Rs 103.25 as the technical structure of the company deteriorated. The volumes for the scrip jumped 5 times than the daily average volume.

Linde India: The industrial gas maker shed 8 per cent to Rs 2368.80 as traders booked profits in the company after a sharp rally for two sessions over a positive announcement in the counter.

Vodafone Idea: The beleaguered telecom player declined 7 per cent to Rs 5.90 as the spike in mobile number portability data in June 2021 reflected that Vodafone Idea's customers have started migrating to its rivals Airtel and Jio.

Wockhardt: The pharma player fell 5 per cent to Rs 415.45 despite the company's pact with China-based Jemincare for a respiratory antibiotic named 'Nafithromycin' that will be developed by Jemincare.
