    Stocks in the news: HUL, IndusInd Bank, M&M, Yes Bank, Coal India and NTPC

    Stocks in buzz: Indian Oil, Tube Investments, Adani Wilmar, HeidelbergCement, Nelco, Bank of Maharashtra, Zydus Lifesciences and more
    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 122.5 points, or 0.75 per cent lower at 16,167.5, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Tuesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    HUL, HDFC Life, Ambuja Cement:
    Hindustan Unilever, HDFC Life Insurance, Ambuja Cements, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, AU Small Finance Bank, Polycab India, Hatsun Agro Products, L&T Finance Holdings, DCM Shriram and Rallis India are among the companies that will announce their earnings for the quarter ended June 2022.

    NTPC, Indian Oil: State-owned power giant and oil marketer have inked a pact to form a joint venture firm for meeting the electricity requirements of upcoming projects of the oil major. They signed an agreement on July 18, 2022 for the formation of a joint venture company.

    IndusInd Bank: The private lender said its board has approved a proposal to raise Rs 20,000 crore in debt to fund business growth. The bank's board approved the proposal in its meeting held.

    Mahindra & Mahindra:
    The homegrown auto major said it has hiked its stake in its Finland-based arm Sampo Rosenlew Oy to 100 per cent with the acquisition of residual shares for over Rs 35 crore. The company increased its stake in combine harvester maker to 79.13 per cent with the acquisition of additional 1,050 shares for Rs 31.15 crore in 2020.

    Coal India:
    The state-owned oil marketer has cancelled its maiden tender for short-term import of coal in which Adani Enterprises had emerged as the lowest bidder. Adani Enterprises, which had quoted around Rs 17,000-plus per tonne for importing 2.416 MT of coal, was earlier selected for the short-term shipment.

    Yes Bank:
    The private lender will invest up to Rs 350 crore for a potential 20 per cent stake in asset reconstruction company JC Flowers, which has emerged as the base bidder for the lender's bad loans worth Rs 48,000 crore. It is planning to raise up to $1 billion in FY23 to bolster its core capital base once the NPA challenge is over.

    Tube Investments of India: The auto parts maker company through its subsidiary TI Clean Mobility (TICMPL) acquired a 65.2 per cent stake in IPLTech Electric (IPLT), through a combination of purchase of equity shares from the founders and other existing shareholders of IPLT for Rs 246 crore.

    Adani Wilmar:
    The edible oil major cutting the price of cooking oils by up to Rs 30 per litre, the second reduction in less than a month amid a fall in global rates. The owner of Fortune brand and has nearly 20 per cent market share, said the fresh stock of edible oils with new MRP.

    Bank of Maharashtra: The state-run reported a more than two-fold jump in net profit to Rs 452 crore in the April-June quarter, helped by a healthy net interest income and improvement in asset quality. The lender had reported a net profit of Rs 208 crore on a standalone basis in the similar quarter of the fiscal 2022.

    HeidelbergCement India: The cement firm reported 24.82 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 51.61 crore for June quarter 2022-23, impacted by an increase in operating cost. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 68.65 crore in April-June period a year ago.

    Zydus Lifesciences: The drug maker said its subsidiary has received approval from the US health regulator to market antifungal Efinaconazole Topical solution. Zydus Worldwide DMCC has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market the product.

    Nelco:
    The satellite communications company clocked a 7.8 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 4.72 crore for the quarter ended June 2022 supported by a robust topline as the revenue jumped 48 per cent to Rs 81.86 crore during the period.

    PTC India: The power trading company announced it has signed agreements with five technology companies. The Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) have been executed with Ircon International Limited, Greenstat, AutoGrid, Hexagon and Chemtrols.

    Surya Roshni: The lighting company received orders worth Rs 91.27 crore for API-5L grade 3LPE coated pipes from Bharat Gas Resources. The contract will be executed within 12 months.

    Alok Industries: The textile company reported a net loss of Rs 141.58 crore for the quarter ended June 2022, which widened from a loss of Rs 97.65 crore in the same period last year, due to higher raw material, and power and fuel costs. However, revenue increased 56 per cent to Rs 1,971.52 crore in Q1FY23.

    Excel Realty N Infra: The trading and distributing company said the board will hold a meeting on August 4 to consider the sub-division of face value of Equity shares, and the issue of bonus share.

    Mitsu Chem Plast: The smallcap packaging company has filed DRHP for an follow-on public offering with Sebi to raise up to Rs 125 crore for repayment/pre-payment, in full or part, of certain borrowings availed by company, funding working capital requirements andgeneral corporate purposes.
