Share market update: Consumer Durable shares up; Crompton Greaves climbs 4%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durable shares were trading on a positive note on Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Crompton Greaves (up 3.69 per cent) , Titan Company Ltd (up 1.86 per cent) , Symphony (up 1.05 per cent) and Blue Star (up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Orient Electric (down -1.2 per cent) , Voltas (down -0.85 per cent) , TTK Prestige (down -0.75 per cent) , Sheela Foam (down -0.73 per cent) and Whirlpool of India (down -0.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 1.06 per cent up at 22140.33 around 12:34PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 18.25 points at 11113.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 45.9 points at 37733.81.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, NALCO and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
