Stocks in the news: TCS, JSW Steel, UltraTech, NBCC, Delta Corp and SJVN

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 154 points, or 0.87 per cent lower at 17,588, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Tuesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

TCI, Hathway Cable, ARWL: Tinplate Company of India, Hathway Cable & Datacom, Anand Rathi Wealth, GM Breweries, Evexia Lifecare and Gayatri BioOrganics are among the companies that will announce their March quarter results today.

Tata Consultancy Services: The IT major reported a 7.4 per cent increase in its March quarter net profit to Rs 9,926 crore as profit margins narrowed. For FY22, the net profit jumped 14.8 per cent to Rs 38,327 crore under the International Financial Reporting Standards. It reported its highest-ever total revenues of Rs 50,591 crore in the quarter.

UltraTech Cement: The leading cement maker said it has been declared as the preferred bidder for a limestone block in an e-auction conducted by the Karnataka government. The block is situated in Tehsil Chittapur of Kalburgi district in Karnataka.

Adani Green Energy: The renewable energy firm entered the list of top-10 valued firms as its market valuation zoomed over Rs 4.22 lakh crore, backed by a sharp rally in its share price. The company commanded a market valuatuion of Rs 4,22,526.28 crore to grab the tenth spot on the top-10 list.

JSW Steel: The steel maker said its subsidiary has received the environmental clearance to set up a Rs 65,000-crore steel plant in Odisha. he company will set up the plant at Paradip in Odisha, where the South Korean steel giant Posco was keen to set up a Rs 52,000-crore steel plant.

Godrej Industries: The holding company announced the launch of Godrej Capital (GCL), the financial services arm of the group. GCL is the holding entity for Godrej Housing Finance, a housing finance company and Godrej Finance Ltd, which is an NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company).

NBCC (India): The state-owned construction firm has received work orders to protect defence lands, mainly by constructing boundary walls. The work orders have been awarded to the company by the Directorate General Defence Estates (DGDE).

CreditAccess Grameen: The microfinance lender said its total disbursements in March 2022 rose 25 per cent to Rs 2,257 crore. The company's disbursements were of Rs 1,806 crore in the year-ago same month. In February 2022, CA Grameen had disbursed Rs 1,746 crore worth loans.

Delta Corp: The gaming company has reported a lower profit at Rs 48.11 crore for the quarter ended March 2022, compared to profit of Rs 57.77 crore in the year-ago period, while revenue for the quarter has seen a moderate growth at Rs 218.32 crore, up from Rs 211.34 crore a yead ago.

Kesoram Industries: The cement company posted a loss of Rs 46.14 crore for the March 2022 quarter, which widened from Rs 31.97 crore loss in the previous quarter due to rise in power, fuel and finance costs. It had recorded a profit of Rs 96.41 crore in the year-ago period.

Gufic Biosciences: The pharma player has received permission from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to manufacture Isavuconazonium Sulfate API and finished formulation Isavuconazole for injection 200 mg/vial.

SJVN: The state-owned utility player has inked a memorandum of understanding with engineering firm BHEL and REMC Limited to develop renewable energy projects.
