Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.08%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 2.72 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.99 per cent) and DLF(up 0.32 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.46 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.42 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 2.13 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.08 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.19 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.08 per cent up at 452.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 119.0 points at 17944.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 417.92 points at 60260.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Nava Bharat Vent., S Chand & Co, Rossell India, Archidply Ind and NDTV hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bajaj Hindusthan Su, IRIS Business Servic, Jet Freight Logistic, GVK Power Infra and Vipul Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows.
