Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 545.25 points up at 58115.50 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shine Fashions(down 20.00 per cent), Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd.(down 16.22 per cent), Indo-City Info(down 13.82 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 10.54 per cent) and Angel Fibers(down 10.45 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 181.8 points up at 17340.05.

On the BSE, Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd., Aarnav Fashions, Oceanic Foods, Bombay Rayon and Meglon InfraReal hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bombay Cycle, Metro Brands Ltd., West Coast Paper, Chordia Food and Ram Ratna Wire touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
