NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 337.06 points down at 59119.72 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Fortis Healthcare(down 14.75 per cent), Fortis Malar(down 12.89 per cent), Abans Enterprises (down 12.47 per cent), Indo-City Info(down 11.25 per cent) and Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 88.55 points down at 17629.8.
On the BSE, Shubham Polyspin, My Money Securit, Mehai Technology, A F Enterprises and Trescon hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Remsons Ind, Sonal Mercantile, Diamines Chem, Choice Intnl and Optimus Finance touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
