    Stocks in the news: Vodafone Idea, Mindspace REIT, M&M, Cipla, Dalmia Bharat and HPCL

    ITC’s business crossed the Rs 10,000 crore sales milestone in 2019-20, narrowing the lead of the second ranked Britannia to about Rs 600 crore. Nestl India is the leader in the segment.
    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 25.5 points, or 0.23 per cent higher at 11,187.50, in signs that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Friday. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Vodafone Idea: Vodafone Idea on Thursday posted a net loss of Rs 25,460 crore in the June quarter on exceptional loss of Rs 19,923.20 crore. The debt-laden telecom firm had posted a loss of Rs 4,873.90 crore in the same period last year.

    Mindspace Business Parks REIT: The REIT will list on bourses on Friday and will be admitted to dealings on the Exchange in the list of ‘IF’ Group of Securities. The issue price is set at Rs 275.

    Mahindra & Mahindra, Cipla: Balrampur Chini, Bata India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Cipla, BEML, Emami, Sobha and Scooters India: are among companies that are scheduled to announce their June quarter earnings on Friday.

    Dalmia Bharat: The cement maker reported a 23.68 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 188 crore for the first quarter ended June 2020, driven by price increase and cost optimisation.

    YES Bank: LIC has acquired close to 5 per cent shareholding in the bank by purchasing shares from the open market.

    JK Tyre & Industries: The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 204.17 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, hit by lower sales due to COVID-19 pandemic.

    Torrent Power: The company posted over 35 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 373.87 crore for June quarter 2020-21.

    GOCL Corp: Hinduja Group firm said it has agreed to acquire APDL Estate Ltd for Rs 62 crore from Hinduja Realty Ventures.

    Blue Star: Air conditioner maker reported a consolidated net loss of 19.66 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, impacted by coronavirus and subsequent disruptions.

    Muthoot Finance: The rise in loan to value permitted by RBI for loans against gold jewellery advanced by banks led to huge shorting in the Muthoot Finance counter. The open interest (OI) of the front month contract jumped 29% as its price tumbled almost 9% to Rs 1215.95 from the intraday high of 1332.5.

    ITC:

    Wipro: TheIT firm announced it will join forces with Intel to enable Wipro's LIVE Workspace, the company's digital workspace solution with the Intel vProplatform.

    Adani Enterprises: The flagship entity of Adani Group reported a net loss of Rs 65.67 crore for the quarter ended June, compared with a net profit of Rs 570.14 a year ago.

    Alembic Pharma: Vadodara-based Alembic Pharma raised Rs 750 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) on Thursday, with the issue drawing investors such as Tata Mutual Fund, HDFC Life, Sundaram, Bajaj Life and Nippon India Mutual Fund.

    Embassy Office Parks REIT: Embassy Office Parks REIT has reported a mere 1 per cent year-on-year rise in net operating income for the quarter ended June to Rs 456.9 crore due to adverse impact of Covid-19 pandemic.

    Indian Hotels Co: Severely hit by the Covid 19 pandemic, Tata Group backed Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has posted an 86 per cent drop in its revenue from operations for the quarter ended June.

    Jubilant FoodWorks: Jubilant FoodWorks has stepped into the Rs 500-crore ready-to-cook condiments space, setting up direct competition with packaged foods makers including Nestle Hindustan Unilever and Dr Oetker.

    Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: Drug firm Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Thursday said it will launch a 400 mg version of oral antiviral drug FabiFlu for the treatment of mild and moderate COVID-19 in India.

    Havells India: The company launched anti-bacterial/anti-fungal switches under its Crabtree electric switch range.

    Aarti Surfactants: Abu Dhabi Investment Authority sold 39,537 shares of Aarti Surfactants at Rs 270.50.
