Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.16% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:55AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.77 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 0.56 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.36 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.29 per cent), DLF(down 0.25 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.16 per cent at 444.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 79.75 points at 18642.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 278.96 points at 62783.76.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Suzlon Energy, Rail Vikas Nigam, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Mohini Health & Hygi, SBC Exports, Axita Cotton, Chembond Chem and Aditya Birla Cap. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Laurus Labs, Ishan International Ltd., FutureLifestyleFash, Sintex Plastics Tech and Vital Chemtech Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
