Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.66%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of DLF(up 2.99 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 2.37 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 2.21 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.59 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 1.39 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Oberoi Realty(down 0.98 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.66 per cent up at 382.15.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 143.35 points at 15556.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 443.19 points at 52265.72.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, IDFC First Bank, Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd. and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Rachana Infrastructure Ltd., Globesecure Technologies Ltd., Kohinoor Foods, Globe Intl. Carriers and Regency Ceramic hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Star Health, Maha Rashtra, Dhani Ibull Ventures, V2 Retail Ltd and Vaxtex Cotfab hit their fresh 52-week lows.
