Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.85% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:45AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 0.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Godrej Properties(down 2.15 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.09 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.96 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.8 per cent) and DLF(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.85 per cent at 414.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20.6 points at 17036.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 124.03 points at 57269.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, JP Power, Tata Steel, Zomato Ltd. and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Shree Tirupati Balaj, Regency Ceramic, Bombay Super Hybrid, Mask Investments and Vadivarhe Speciality hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mega Flex Plastics Ltd., Debock Sales & Mktg, Viviana Power Tech Ltd., MEP Infrastructure and JFL Life Sciences Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
