Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.1% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:04AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 0.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.97 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.71 per cent), DLF(down 1.46 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.22 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.1 per cent at 445.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 168.9 points at 17460.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 595.2 points at 58524.52.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Tata Steel, Suzlon Energy, M&M Financial, Shree Ren Sug and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of SriHavishaHosp, Schneider, Sonu Infratech Ltd., Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd. and Bombay Super Hybrid hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sabar Flex India Ltd., Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., FutureLifestyleFash, Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd. and Zensar Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
