Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 230.58 points up at 53744.73 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Purple Entertainment(down 17.02 per cent), Shristi Infra(down 11.70 per cent), United Van Der(down 10.06 per cent), Jetmall Spices and Masala Ltd.(down 9.98 per cent) and EPIC Energy(down 9.84 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks traded in the green, while 15 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 67.35 points up at 16034.0.

On the BSE, Arrow Greentech, Reliance Home Fin, Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec and Gemstone Invst hit their fresh 52-week lows, while PC Jeweller, GRP Ltd, Alpine Housing, Monte Carlo Fashion and Intnl Travel touched their fresh 52-week highs.
