Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.33% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:50AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.32 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Godrej Properties(down 2.54 per cent), DLF(down 2.23 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.48 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.32 per cent) and Sunteck Realty(down 1.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.33 per cent at 437.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 180.0 points at 18240.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 582.2 points at 61223.99.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 2 were trading in the green, while 48 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, JP Power, UCO Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Shriram Pistons, Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Arvee Laboratories, Ascom Leasing & Inve and Vinny Overseas hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jakharia Fabric, Sanwaria Consumer, ICDS Ltd., Sintex Inds. and Cerebra Integrat hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
