Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 66.95 crore), UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 15.19 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 12.82 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 9.20 crore), Central Bank(number of shares traded: 8.09 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 7.98 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.92 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 5.32 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.73 crore) and Union Bank India(number of shares traded: 2.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:35AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 64.9 points up at 18672.9, while BSE Sensex was up 211.71 points at 62745.01 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.81 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
