Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.58 crore), Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 2.44 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 2.24 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 1.54 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.49 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.43 crore), Integra Garment(numbers of share traded: 1.18 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.65 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.61 crore) and Indian Info Sof(numbers of share traded: 0.53 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 24.5 points down at 15810.85, while BSE Sensex ended down 100.42 points at 53134.35.

On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
