Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty ended 386.95 points up at 17274.3, while the BSE Sensex closed 1276.66 points up at 58065.47.
On the other hand, Max Ventures Ind, BSL Ltd, Apar Industries, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd. and Power Mech Proj stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Bajaj Finance, Coal India Ltd and Hero MotoCorp were among the top gainers on the NSE in the today's trade.
Meanwhile, Power Grid, Dr. Reddys, Sun Pharma, Titan Company and Bharti Airtel were among the top losers of the day.
