Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 444.25 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 441.93 crore), Infosys(Rs. 351.95 crore), HDFC(Rs. 347.73 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 340.42 crore), PNB(Rs. 337.22 crore), Divis Labs(Rs. 336.85 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 333.89 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 320.48 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 319.22 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:10AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 174.65 points down at 17952.7, while BSE Sensex was down 542.29 points at 60283.93 as of 11:10AM(IST)on December 23.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.55 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.17 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 3.07 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.67 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent) were among the top losers.
