AgenciesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Responsive Ind.(up 19.96%), Minaxi Textiles(up 19.93%) and Spandana Sphoorty(up 16.75%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 649.89 points up at 52472.42, while the 50-share index, NSE was 200.4 points up at 15613.7.
In the Nifty50 index, 47 stocks traded in the green, while 3 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Shreeji Translogisti, Elecon Engg Co, Rose Merc. Ltd., ST Corporation and Kohinoor Foods hit their fresh 52-week high, while Earum Pharmaceutical, Triveni Enterprises, Karda Const, Fiberweb India and Dhani Ibull Ventures touched their new 52-week low during the session.
