    June saw HDFC Mutual Fund's equity assets under management (AUM) falling 3.3 per cent YoY to Rs 1,80,616 crore. This was the month when the BSE Sensex declined 4.58 per cent, while the broader BSE500 index tanked 5.2 per cent.

    During the quarter, the Prashant Jain-led mutual fund house entered three new stocks while it exited 10 stocks with negligible holdings. It made no changes to a total of 382 stocks, data compiled by IDBI Capital suggested.

    Data showed the mutual fund house bought a 0.02 per cent stake or 1,97,807 shares in Shriram City Union Finance worth Rs 32.85 crore. It added Sanofi, buying 8,365 shares worth Rs 5.38 crore. It also entered Metropolis Healthcare with 3,600 shares worth Rs 50 lakhs.
    The fund houses exited Strides Pharma Sciences. Its holding of 2,33,100 shares in Strides Pharma Science was worth Rs 7.75 crore. Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 6.77 crore), L&T Finance Holdings (Rs 5.95 crore) and Manappuram Finance (Rs 3.30 crore) are some other stocks that the fund house exited, as per IDBI Capital data.

    The mutual fund house exited its insignificant stakes in The India Cements, YES Bank, Polycab India, PVR, Abbott India and Birlasoft, among others. These stakes were valued at less than Rs 1 crore.
    Overall, the fund house had financials as its top sectoral bet with 30.1 per cent of the AUM weight, followed by industrials (11.1 per cent), IT (9.7 per cent) and energy (8.9 per cent).

    ICICI Bank is the MF's top holding, accounting for 5.9 per cent of its AUM. HDFC Bank (5.7 per cent), SBI (5 per cent), Infosys (4.5 per cent), Reliance Industries (4.4 per cent) and HDFC (3.2 per cent) were some of its other big investments, IDBI Capital data showed.
