    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

    NEW DELHI: Bajaj Finance(Rs. 792.14 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 464.81 crore), Infosys(Rs. 350.49 crore), Bajaj Finserv(Rs. 342.71 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 271.12 crore), TCS(Rs. 253.87 crore), RIL(Rs. 253.15 crore), PayTM(Rs. 230.05 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 228.45 crore) and YES Bank(Rs. 225.06 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:06AM in Friday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index traded 75.15 points down at 17917.0, while BSE Sensex was down 258.9 points at 60094.37 as of 11:06AM(IST)on January 06.

    In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent) were among the top losers.
