Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Baid Leasing, Arihant Academy Ltd., Hisar Metal Ind, Sterling Tools and Shreeoswal Seeds, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 80.2 points down at 18027.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Kiri Industries, Sanwaria Consumer, Ballarpur Inds., Nupur Recyclers Ltd. and Venus Remedies, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 11 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 38 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Coal India Ltd, Power Grid, HDFC Bank, HDFC and ITC were among top gainers during the day, while HUL, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel and Nestle India ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 236.66 points down at 60621.77.

Traders piled up positions in Learning & Education, Mining, Cables, Auto and Agro Processing sectors, while selling was witnessed in Glass, Textiles, Auto Ancillaries, Electric/Electronics and Tyres sectors during the day.
