ReutersNEW DELHI: Shares of Beardsell Ltd, YES Bank, Ram Ratna Wire, Vedant Fashions Ltd. and JK Paper, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 5.4 points up at 17345.45 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as KCK Industries Ltd., SKP Bearing Industries Ltd., Birla Tyres, IMP Powers Ltd and Tijaria Polypip, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while UPL, Hero MotoCorp, SBI Life, Britannia and Tech Mahindra ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 20.86 points up at 58136.36.
Traders piled up positions in Aquaculture, Services, Cables, Airlines and Building Materials sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries, Packaging and Pharmaceuticals sectors during the day.
