Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Wendt India, Sterling Tools, Marathon Nextgen, Voltamp Trans and Spacenet Enterprise, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 132.8 points up at 15832.05 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Touchwood Entertainm, Fidel Softech Ltd., Aakash Exploration, Vaxtex Cotfab and Bombay Rayon, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 40 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 10 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Coal India Ltd, ONGC, L&T, Tech Mahindra and HCL Tech were among top gainers during the day, while Apollo Hospital, Eicher Motors, HDFC Life, Kotak Bank and RIL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 433.3 points up at 53161.28.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, IT - Hardware, Aquaculture, Rubber and IT Enabled Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Miscellaneous sectors during the day.
