Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.38% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:05AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.35 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.61 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.62 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.35 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.56 per cent), DLF(down 0.38 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.38 per cent at 449.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 73.7 points at 17644.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 229.64 points at 59227.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JP Power and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Brand Concepts L, Servotech Power Syst, Remsons Ind, Autoline Ind and Choice Intnl hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, Finolex Inds., Hind Oil Expl, SIS India and Kopran Ltd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
