Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.24% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:15AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.89 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.83 per cent) and DLF(up 0.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oberoi Realty(down 2.95 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.96 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.32 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.24 per cent at 419.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 86.0 points at 17271.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 304.56 points at 58224.53.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., JP Power and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Electronics Mart India Ltd., Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Atlanta Ltd, Maks Energy Solutions India Ltd. and BLS Int. Services hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, Gangotri Text, Tembo Global Indust, Akshar Spintex and Alok Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
