Stock market update: Mining stocks mixed as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading mixed on Tuesday at 10:09AM

Oriental Trimex(up 1.23%), Lexus Granito(up 1.16%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.75%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.62%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.56%), Pokarna(up 0.37%) and Coal India(up 0.12%) were among the top gainers.

20 Microns(down 1.39%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.27%), MOIL(down 0.68%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.54%), KIOCL(down 0.37%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.08%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 111.0 points up at 18005.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 404.24 points at 60497.21 at around 10:09AM.

Hindustan Unilever(up 2.88%), HCL Technologies(up 1.59%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.5%), Tata Motors(up 1.16%), HDFC Bank(up 1.12%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.09%), HDFC(up 1.08%), NTPC(up 1.08%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.89%) and ITC(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.74%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.54%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.53%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.49%), Tata Steel(down 0.42%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.34%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.2%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.14%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.13%) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.12%) were trading in the red.
