Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.20 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.81 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.59 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(number of shares traded: 0.40 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.36 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Ambuja Cements(number of shares traded: 0.26 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.21 crore), Jai Mata Glass(number of shares traded: 0.20 crore) and PNB(number of shares traded: 0.19 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 31.1 points down at 17585.2, while BSE Sensex was up 35.35 points at 59743.43 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, ITC Ltd.(up 4.61 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 3.37 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.15 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While UPL Ltd.(down 5.95 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 5.56 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 4.48 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.85 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
