Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:06AM

ZUARIAGRO(up 10.02%), Bohra Industries(up 4.29%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 3.58%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.77%), Agro Phos(up 1.39%), G S F C(up 1.24%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.96%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.79%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.75%) and Coromandel International(up 0.71%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries(down 4.99%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.29%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.93%), KRISHANA(down 0.56%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.55%), Aries Agro(down 0.38%) and National Fertilizer(down 0.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 36.85 points down at 17579.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 8.79 points at 59716.87 at around 11:06AM.

ITC(up 5.46%), Britannia Industries(up 5.0%), Infosys(up 1.91%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.65%), HCL Technologies(up 1.58%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.47%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.08%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.84%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.82%) and Bharti Airtel(up 0.8%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 9.45%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 4.9%), UPL Ltd(down 4.2%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 3.97%), Eicher Motors(down 2.79%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.79%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.69%), NTPC(down 2.38%), Tata Steel(down 2.34%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.29%) were trading in the red.
