Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.62% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:34AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.42 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.33 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.19 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.84 per cent) and DLF(up 0.75 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 0.58 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.45 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.62 per cent at 452.95 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 75.45 points at 18833.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 246.19 points at 63345.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., JP Power, Suzlon Energy, Rail Vikas Nigam and TV18 Broadcast were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of HPL Electric Power, HLV Ltd., Salasar Techno Engg, Axita Cotton and Focus Lighting hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lloyds Luxuries Ltd., FutureLifestyleFash, Dhanuka Realty, Jump Networks and Jaypee Infra hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
