Stock market update: Power stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:55AM

Jyoti Structures(up 1.75%), KEC International(up 0.87%), Karma Energy(up 0.55%), DPSC(up 0.35%) and Inox Wind Energy(up 0.20%) were among the top gainers.

Suzlon Energy-Partly Pd up Right Is(down 5.95%), Suzlon Energy(down 4.57%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 2.87%), NLC India(down 2.81%), Inox wind(down 2.58%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.40%), RTNPOWER(down 2.38%), NHPC(down 2.06%), Alstom T&D India(down 1.96%) and Orient Green Power Company(down 1.92%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 132.8 points down at 18282.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 413.65 points at 61385.38 at around 10:55AM.

Hindustan Unilever(up 0.44%), Reliance Industries(up 0.34%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.14%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.12%), Cipla(up 0.09%), Nestle India(up 0.03%) and Eicher Motors(up 0.02%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.13%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.11%), ITC(down 2.01%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.67%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.64%), Grasim Industries(down 1.59%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.58%), State Bank of India(down 1.49%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.43%) and UPL Ltd(down 1.39%) were trading in the red.
