Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:35AM

Aries Agro(up 8.36%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 3.57%), Bohra Industries(up 2.44%), Agro Phos(up 1.72%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.73%), Coromandel International(up 0.58%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.53%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.52%), KRISHANA(up 0.36%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.28%) were among the top gainers.

Madras Fertlizers(down 2.55%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.47%), National Fertilizer(down 1.51%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.99%), G S F C(down 0.96%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.67%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.57%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.18%) and Rama Phosphates(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 11.1 points up at 18054.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 29.56 points at 60627.89 at around 10:35AM.

Britannia Industries(up 3.25%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.15%), ITC(up 1.9%), Nestle India(up 1.63%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.5%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.39%), NTPC(up 1.32%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.23%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.19%) and Cipla(up 1.17%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 6.96%), Bajaj Finserv(down 5.3%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.7%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.42%), ICICI Bank(down 0.74%), Tata Steel(down 0.43%), HDFC Bank(down 0.43%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.39%), Axis Bank(down 0.26%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.25%) were trading in the red.
