Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 26.56 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.36 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 4.90 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 3.64 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.43 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 2.32 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.01 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 1.64 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.58 crore) and JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.57 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:35AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 59.7 points up at 18165.0, while BSE Sensex was up 213.51 points at 61054.25 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.86 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
