Share market update: Smallcap stocks gain; RTN Power skyrockets 20%

NEW DELHI: Smallcap stocks were trading higher on Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Electrotherm (India) (up 19.99 per cent), Anant Raj (up 19.92 per cent), RTN Power (up 19.83 per cent), PPAP Automotive Ltd (up 17.96 per cent) and HIL (up 16.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Magma Fincorp (down 6.12 per cent), Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 5.17 per cent), Asian Granito India (down 5.03 per cent), Neogen Chemicals (down 5.0 per cent) and Kellton Tech Solutions (down 4.96 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.76 per cent up at 13665.56 around 02:10PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.20 points at 11193.95, while the BSE Sensex was 44.56 points at 37980.89.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, Axis Bank and Bandhan Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
