Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Danlaw Technologies(up 19.99%), Palash Securities(up 19.99%), Gillanders Arbu(up 19.98%) and Promax Power Ltd.(up 19.91%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 158.89 points down at 60677.52, while the 50-share index, NSE was 31.4 points down at 18021.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 28 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Promax Power Ltd., Gandhi Special, Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd., AXISCADES Engineeri and Olatech Solutions Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Rel Capital, SREI Infra Fin, RelDefEngg and Voltas touched their new 52-week low during the session.
