Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:22AM

Pokarna(up 2.13%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.17%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.06%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.93%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.73%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.66%), 20 Microns(up 0.50%), KIOCL(up 0.31%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.12%) and MOIL(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers.

Coal India(down 1.09%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.34%) and MOIL(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 76.1 points up at 17738.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 320.75 points at 59870.65 at around 11:22AM.

ICICI Bank(up 2.48%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.68%), Britannia Industries(up 1.49%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.48%), Tata Steel(up 1.38%), HDFC(up 1.31%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 1.28%), Eicher Motors(up 1.28%), JSW Steel(up 1.19%) and HDFC Bank(up 1.16%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 5.44%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.17%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.51%), Coal India(down 1.09%), UPL Ltd(down 0.98%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.92%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.84%), State Bank of India(down 0.23%) and ITC(down 0.2%) were trading in the red.
