Share market update: Auto shares down; TVS Motor dips over 3%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading with losses in Wednesday's session.

Shares of TVS Motor Company (down 3.29 per cent) , Bharat Forge (down 2.72 per cent) , Bosch (down 2.56 per cent) , Maruti Suzuki (down 1.72 per cent) , Eicher Motors (down 1.52 per cent) , MRF (down 1.06 per cent) , Tata Motors (down 1.05 per cent) , Motherson Sumi Systems (down 0.86 per cent) , Amara Raja Batteries (down 0.78 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 0.08 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.01 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.95 per cent down at 7130.95 around 11:39AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.55 points at 10778.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 91.27 points at 36583.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB, IndusInd Bank, L&T Fin Holding, Tata Motors, BHEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
