    Apollo Hospital shares up 0.1% as Sensex rises

    Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
    Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. gained 0.1 per cent to Rs 4972.15 in Monday's session as of 12:39PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 297.72 points higher at 62844.83.

    Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap down start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 5008.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 3528.2 on NSE. Around 16710 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:39PM (IST).

    The stock opened at Rs 4960.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 5008.0 and Rs 4943.9 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 87.46, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 56.97 and price to book value (PB) of 10.0, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 13.21.

    Promoter/ FII Holding
    The promoters held 29.33 per cent stake in the company as of June 05, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 46.96 per cent and 11.37 per cent, respectively.

    With a market capitalisation of Rs 71633.52 crore, the company operates in the Hospital industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4318.55 crore, up 0.46 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 4298.94 crore and up 20.73 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 144.52 crore for the latest quarter, up 60.33 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

    Technical Indicators
    The relative strength index (RSI) of the stock stands at 75.85. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, it is considered overbought condition when the RSI value is above 70 and oversold condition when it is below 30. Analysts say the RSI indicator should not be seen in isolation, as it may not be sufficient to take a trading call, just the way a fundamental analyst cannot give a "buy" or "sell" recommendation using a single valuation ratio.
